The streets will be paved with liquid gold.

NYC Honey Fest 2016 is going to cross-pollinate the 86th Street Boardwalk in Rockaway Beach with beeswax products, beehives, bee-themed costumes, and a buzz-worthy parade from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 17. (Rain date: Sept. 18.)

In addition to live music, outdoor film, and general glee, the sixth-annual, daylong fiesta will include a fan-friendly contest organized by the American Honey Tasting Society, children-friendly activities such as hive-making, apiary tours, an extraction demonstration, and a Bee Marketplace.

More than two dozen vendors will set up tables and tents to sample, sell, and share their products and services. Consider the following.

Editor’s note: Be on the lookout for unique honey‐based Rosh Hashanah ritual by the sea shore.
