Cycle fanatics and newbies alike will be able to try a free class at the grand opening of Simply Fit Astoria’s new studio this weekend.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 17, the studio will offer free classes to members and non-members. There will be eight classes on the grand opening, with the last class starting at 1 p.m. The first 50 visitors will also receive free gift bags.

Complimentary snacks courtesy of Aloria Cakes and cold-pressed juices from Fusion Juice Bar will be handed out at the new 4,000 square foot studio at 37-20 Astoria Blvd.

Simply Fit Astoria now has both fitness and cycling classes, private training rooms, showers, a locker room, central air and lounge area. Additional morning classes have been added and members can now purchase combo packs for both fitness and cycling classes.

Owner Lisa Eskenazi started Simply Fit in 2010 in a 1,200-square-foot studio in Astoria. One year later, she moved to a bigger space and in 2013 opened another facility, Simply Cycle. Now, Eskenazi decided to combine both her fitness and cycle classes under one roof.

One class costs $18 and packages run from $80 for five classes to $600 for 50 classes. Simply Fit Astoria also offers personal training with Eskenazi and personal trainer Lauren Fijol.
