It’s that time of year again. The days are getting shorter, the leaves are changing colors, the weather’s cooling off and pumpkin spice is everywhere. Autumn has arrived!

Be sure to celebrate the changing of the seasons at these fun events across Queens.

The Queens County Farm Museum is hosting many fall-related events this year, including the 34th Annual Queens County Fair this weekend which will have several blue ribbon competitions in livestock, produce, home crafts, arts and crafts, and more. The Queens County Fair also features pie eating and corn husking contests, pig races, hayrides, carnival rides, midway games and entertainment.

The Queens County Farm Museum is located at 73-50 Little Neck Pkwy. in Floral Park.

On Oct. 9, the Onderdonk House in Ridgewood is partnering with the Kiwanis Club to host the annual Harvest Festival. The first 500 children in attendance at the festival will receive a free pumpkin to paint, and there will be cider and candle making instructional seminars.

On Saturday, Oct. 15, there will be a free Fall Festival at Forest Park’s Victory Field from noon to 3 p.m., where there will be pumpkins (of course), live music, games, and arts and crafts.

Celebrate Oktoberfest Flushing Style — a fun and affordable fundraiser at the Voelker Orth Museum, located at 149-19 38th Ave., Flushing. The event offers an outdoor grill where German-American cuisine will be served alongside Korean-American dishes. There will also be live music performances and raffles.

The Harvest Fest & Pumpkin Patch will be coming to the Queens Botanical Garden on Sunday, Oct. 16. There will be live music, games, nature walks, farm tours, bouncy houses, craft and food vendors, a petting zoo, a tasty beer tent, a pumpkin patch (for an additional fee) and much more to experience.

Admission is $12 for adults and seniors, $10 for children, and free for members. The pumpkin patch and select activities require additional fees. There will be a $10 event parking rate in effect.
