Does your little one love to write or draw?

Students in grades 2 through 5 within Assembly District 26 — which includes areas of Bayside, Whitestone and Little Neck — are invited to participate in Assemblyman Edward Braunstein’s annual Halloween Essay & Drawing Contest.

Young artists should draw inspiration from the holiday and produce their own creative essay or drawing. The work should have a clear Halloween theme. Entries can be of any size or format.

Participants should print their full name, grade and school onto their entry and submit it to Braunstein’s office by mail to 213-33 39th Ave., Suite 238, Bayside, NY 11361, by email to braunsteine[at]assembly.state.ny.us or by fax to 718-357-5947. Drawings should be mailed or dropped off at Braunstein’s office.

District-wide prizes will be awarded to the winner in each grade and New York State Certificates of Merit will be awarded to all students who participate.

Don’t delay: the contest deadline is Monday, Oct. 31.
