A sketch of the suspect who sexually assaulted a 51-year-old woman at the corner of 168th Street and Horace Harding Expressway in Fresh Meadows on Sunday morning.

Updated 9:50 a.m., Oct. 18

New details have emerged as detectives continue to investigate the sexual assault of a 51-year-old woman near the Long Island Expressway in Fresh Meadows early on Sunday morning.

Police released on Monday night a composite sketch of the man responsible for attack that took place at about 6:22 a.m. on Oct. 16 in the vicinity of Horace Harding Expressway and 168th Street.

According to authorities, the 51-year-old woman was walking along the sidewalk of the LIE’s service road when she was grabbed from behind by the suspect, who was described as a clean-shaven black male in his 40s with a slim build, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was observed wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

Police said the perpetrator put the victim in a chokehold and, after she was rendered semi-conscious, threw her face first to the sidewalk. He sexually assaulted her, then entered a dark-colored, four-door sedan that sped away westbound on Horace Harding Expressway.

The New York Daily News reported that the suspect spoke to the victim in a Chinese dialect and ordered her to clean up before leaving. The victim managed to walk to her workplace, a supermarket about 1 1/2 miles from where she was attacked, and called her son for help.

The victim was brought to a local hospital for treatment; her son reported the assault to the 109th Precinct.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation by the NYPD Queens Special Victims Squad is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding the sexual assault is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit their website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.

This article got me confused in one of the last paragraphs. It says the suspect spoke Chinese to the victim -- but the sketch shows a Black man. Then I read the New York Daily News article & got a sense that he didn't speak Chinese the whole time -- maybe only 1 sentence, He is still out there in a car and not just in Queens. If you have a wife, a daughter, a sister, a mother, ...she needs some good advice on what to do if this clever/creepy rapist (or someone like him) approaches her. #WomensLivesMatter
