Those with no weekend Halloween plans can attend an interactive haunted house at Long Island City‘s Paper Factory Hotel on Oct. 28.

Located at 37-06 36th St., the former paper factory turned hotel will host Crossroads: A Haunted Masquerade Party and guests will choose from one of four interactive experiences. Starting at 9 p.m., the hotel’s basement and courtyard will be transformed into several immersive theater scenes.

Patrons can expect fire breathers, drummers, burlesque performers and art pieces by Tico Chango and other artists. 3D projection mapping will accompany DJ sets by David Hohme, David Kiss, Adam Gibbons and Anna Morgan. Halloween costumes are mandatory.

“On Oct. 28 you are invited to take part in an elaborate play where you are at the center of the Crossroads,” the event’s page read. “Rituals will be held and ancestors celebrated. The sound of mischief will ring through the dark sky and a sense of wonder of the unknown will be hallowed.”

The Paper Factory started as a radio manufacturing warehouse in the 1920s before it was converted into a paper factory in the 1970s and into a 123-room hotel in 2013.

Early bird tickets, which are sold out, cost $20 and general admission tickets are $30. To purchase tickets and for more information, visit The Paper Factory website.
