Police are looking for a man who stole a wallet from a shopper’s cart at a Food Bazaar in Long Island City last month.

On Oct. 22 at about 1:49 p.m., the suspect took a wallet from a 29-year-old woman who was shopping at 42-02 Northern Blvd., police said. He fled in an unknown direction.

The individual is described as a white male, approximately 40 years old with a heavy build and last seen wearing a blue baseball cap and a blue sweat suit.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website or texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
