Here are 8 suggestions for ringing in the new year in Long Island City

It’s almost time to welcome the new year and if you’re still thinking about where to go when the ball drops, a local organization has rounded up a handful of suggestions to celebrate 2017 in Long Island City.

Long Island City Partnership, a business development organization in the neighborhood, has rounded up a collection of venues in the area that offer great views, drink and meal specials and a dance floor to ring in 2017.

Take a look at the suggestions below:

The ceLLar Bar at Z Hotel at 11-01 43rd Ave. is offering a set by DJ Xplor, a full course dinner and champagne service. Tickets are $195 per person and doors open at 9 p.m.

The New Year’s Eve Rooftop Gala at Ravel Hotel’s Penthouse 808 will feature four DJ sets, an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a live ball drop with stunning views. Tickets range from $30 to $60 and doors open at 8 p.m. Ravel Hotel is located at 8-08 Queens Plaza South.

Celebrate with Michelin-rated M. Wells for an early or late seating for this year’s New Year’s Eve party. The husband and wife duo behind the restaurant will be serving piles of potato waffles, lobster matzo balls, beef brisket, house-made challah and more for $95 per person. The garage-turned-restaurant is located at 43-15 Crescent St.

The Local NYC, at 13-02 44th Ave., is offering a full bar, hors d’oeuvres and desserts and a DJ while watching the ball drop. The party goes from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Welcome 2017 at The Paper Factory with RESET the New Year, a masquerade ball filled with aerialists, burlesque performances and live music. Attendees will have five rooms to choose from, which all offer different experiences. Costumes are encouraged and the entrance fee is $40 per person. The party starts at 9 p.m. and ends at 4 a.m. The Paper Factory is located at 37-06 36th St.

If you’re looking for a more affordable option, attend The Beast Next Door Cafe and Bar‘s New Year’s Eve Bash with a DJ, dancing, live music, party favors and a midnight prosecco toast. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. The Beast Next Door is located at 42-51 27th St.

Do you want to ring in the new year with some laughter? Go to The Standing Room‘s back-to-back special comedy shows. Performers include Derek Gaines, Monroe Martin, Adrienne Iapalucci, Pete Lee and Luis Gomez. Tickets are $20 and doors open at 7:30 p.m. The Standing Room is located at 47-38 Vernon Blvd.

Finally, make reservations at Woodbines, located at 47-10 Vernon Blvd., to enjoy an open bar, which is top shelf, hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast at midnight. A pre-fixe menu for a three-course meal with a glass of wine or pint of beer is included.
