Creep sought for groping a teenage girl on an Ozone Park street

Police released security camera video on Wednesday night of a man wanted for molesting a 17-year-old girl as she walked through Ozone Park last month.

Law enforcement sources said the attack occurred at 8:45 a.m. on the morning of Jan. 18 in the vicinity of 77th Street and Pitkin Avenue.

 

According to authorities, the teenage victim was walking on 77th Street when the perpetrator — described as a black male in his 20s with a beard and wearing glasses — walked up alongside her and engaged her in a conversation.

Police said he followed her to the intersection of 77th Street and Pitkin Avenue, where he grabbed her buttocks and then fled in an unknown direction. The incident was reported to the 106th Precinct.

The security video shows the suspect entering a grocery store about 10 minutes before the attack.

An investigation by the NYPD Queens Special Victims Squad is ongoing.
