Police have released surveillance video of the suspect who robbed a Bayside bartender at gunpoint in the early hours of Monday, Feb. 27.

The incident occurred at J.D.’s Saloon, located at 208-11 35th Ave. within the confines of the 111th Precinct, at approximately 3:11 a.m., police said. A 35-year-old male employee told authorities that a perpetrator entered the saloon, proceeded to the bar counter, displayed a firearm and demanded cash.

The employee handed the perpetrator a bag containing approximately $700. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, making a right turn out of the front exit and fleeing in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male, approximately 30 to 40 years old. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, a red hooded sweater, dark colored pants and a black ski cap.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
