Police are on the hunt for a man who made off with two iPhones after robbing a Jamaica cell phone shop at gunpoint on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, on March 4 at 5:40 p.m., an unknown man entered a Metro PCS store located at 169-09 Hillside Ave. The man showed a black gun and demanded cell phones from the employee in the store.

The victim complied and handed over two iPhones to the gunman. After he took the phones, the suspect took off in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male with a mustache, standing five feet, nine inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information in regards to this robbery is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
