A city sanitation worker was arrested for posing as an officer and groping a girl at a Long Island City hotel.

A city sanitation worker posing as a cop was arrested on Monday for groping a 19-year-old at a Long Island City hotel.

Jason Alvear, 40, entered the Red Roof Inn located at 38-05 Hunters Point Ave. at about 5:20 a.m. and knocked on the victim’s door after her friend left the hotel room.

When she opened the door, police said, Alvear began to push himself up against her body. The victim threatened to call the police and Alvear flashed a badge and told her he was the police.

The victim was able to call the cops who arrested him in the lobby of the hotel. Alvear was charged with sex abuse and impersonating an officer.
