Glendale mourned the loss of Firefighter William Tolley.

It was a tragic week in Queens as the entire borough mourned two tragic fires, one of which claimed the life of Glendale-based Firefighter William Tolley, who fell five stories to his death while battling a fire in Ridgewood on Thursday, April 20.

Tolley’s firehouse on Myrtle Avenue held a memorial bunting ceremony on April 21, ahead of the funeral service for him in his hometown of Bethpage, Long Island.
