This free outdoor film screening in Bayside is peachy keen, jellybean.

Welcome the weekend by settling in under the stars with friends and family to watch beloved movie-musical “Grease” on May 19. Telling the story of a group of students in their senior year of high school in the 1950’s, the romantic comedy stars Olivia Newton-John as Sandy and John Travolta as Danny.

The event will take place at the John Golden Park parking lot, located at 32-31 215th Place. Activities for the family will start at 7:30 and the film will begin at 8:30.

Though it is billed as a drive-in movie, attendees don’t need a car to watch the film. Feel free to bring a blanket to sit on or there will be a limited supply of chairs available.

Space is limited; interested groups are encouraged to arrive early to reserve a spot.

The event is presented by Councilman Paul Vallone and NYC Parks. Contact info [at] paulvallone.com with any questions.
