This man is wanted for attacking man with a rock near a Flushing supermarket

Police are looking for a man who hurled a rock at his victim following an argument at a grocery store in Flushing.

At 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, authorities said, a 28-year-old man was paying for his groceries at the Chung Fat Supermarket, located at 41-82 Main St., when he got into an argument with an unknown man. When the victim left the store, the suspect followed and threw a rock at the victim, striking him on the left side of his face.

Law enforcement sources said the suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim sustained bruising and a small laceration to the face. He refused medical attention at the scene.

The suspect is described as an Asian man in his mid 20s with short, black hair and standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, tan work boots and a white T-shirt with the word “Rowland” written on the front.
