Two people killed, one man injured in an early-morning shooting on a Jamaica street

Police are investigating a shooting in Jamaica that left two people dead and another injured.

At 3:38 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, officers from the 103rd Precinct responded to a call of a female shot in front of a home on 170th Street near 107th Avenue.

Upon arriving at the location, officers found three victims: a 27-year-old woman who had sustained a gunshot wound to the head; a 28-year-old man shot multiple times in the back; and a 32-year-old man who was shot in the right arm.

EMS units responded to the scene and pronounced the female victim dead. The 28-year-old man was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, but later died of his injuries. The 32-year-old man is currently listed in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital.

The identities of the deceased have been withheld pending family notification.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
