Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place at a bar in Ozone Park early on Thursday morning.

At around 1 a.m. on July 13, officers from the 106th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a man stabbed at Cookies Lounge, located at 132-08 Cross Bay Blvd.

Upon their arrival, they found John Savillo, 55, of 97th Street in Ozone Park with a stab wound in his torso.

EMS responded to the scene and transported Savillo to Jamaica Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to the New York Daily News, the unidentified suspect was in an argument with Savillo, which led to the suspect pulling out a knife and stabbing Savillo.
