Ricardo Delgado has been sentenced to 25 year to life in jail for the 2015 murder of Eric Santiago.

The Brooklyn man convicted earlier this year of fatally shooting 21-year-old Eric Santiago outside of a Ridgewood pool hall in 2015 has been sentenced to 25 years to life behind bars, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown announced.

Queens Supreme Court Justice Gregory L. Lasak sentenced Ricardo Delgado, 22 — who was only 20 years old at the time of the murder — of  the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn to the indeterminate term of 25 year to life in prison on July 20.

In April, Delgado was convicted on one count of second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

“As the trial jury concluded in rendering its verdict, the defendant committed a cold and calculating act — running up to the victim without warning and killing him,” Brown said in a statement. “Under the circumstances, the lengthy state prison sentence imposed [Thursday] is more than warranted.”

According to the trial testimony, Santiago was conversing with two people outside of the Arena Billiards Hall at 341 St. Nicholas Ave. in Ridgewood around 1 a.m. on March 14, 2015, when Delgado ran up on him and fired two shots at Santiago, striking him once in the torso. Santiago was transported to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
