Travel the globe this weekend without jumping on a plane at LIC Flea & Food Market.

Along with the vendors you have come to know and love there are new vendors from around the world! Sample international cuisine from Laos, Italy, Mexico, Japan and more.

Don’t miss LIC Flea Beer & Wine Garden, where we will be featuring a dozen International Beers along with our special guest, Yuzu Sake.

No passport is necessary to pair a Laotian beer with I Eat Lao Food’s delicious fresh summer rolls and laaps. Make “I Eat Lao Food” your destination before they sell out of their authentic food that will transport you to Southeast Asia. Don’t forget to quench your thirst and wash down this delicious food with Beerlao Dark.

Looking for a taste of Italy instead? Try the fresh prosciutto and arugula toasted bread at Giuseppe’s Piadineria and pair it with Italy’s own Forst Lager Beer. You will feel as if you’ve set foot in the city of Parma in the northern Italian region of Emilia-Romagna famous for its prosciutto (ham), cheese and architecture. Buon appetito!

If you’re craving something from south of the border, Oaxaca Taqueria and Day Of The Dead’s Amber Ale will be sure to satisfy. Oaxaca Taqueria has dedicated themselves to cooking traditional Mexican fare inspired by the flavors and ingredients of Oaxaca. Paired with the rich and pleasant Amber Ale from Tecate Mexico and you will find yourself transported.

Once you’ve traveled the globe and eaten your fill, shop for one of a kind furniture as HGTV’s “Flea Market Flip.” Each week on “Flea Market Flip,” contestants, who participate in teams, are given $500 to explore items at different flea markets. The participants search for objects they can buy, fix and then “flip” at LIC Flea.  Shop, eat  and maybe even enjoy 15 minutes of fame!

The LIC Flea & Food Market is open every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. through October and is located at 5-25 46th Ave. It’s a short walk from the Court Square subway station and the East River Ferry.
