Police are investigating the death of woman who was shot in the head on a St. Albans street corner on Tuesday night.

On Aug. 15 at 9:23 p.m., officers from the 113th Precinct responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 198th Street and Murdock Avenue.

Upon their arrival, they found 21-year-old Teriana Holcombe of Cambria Heights unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound in her head.

EMS responded to the scene and rushed Holcombe to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
