Police have released video footage of a voyeur who preyed on a woman while she shopped at a discount store in Richmond Hill earlier this month.

Law enforcement sources said the indecent attack took place at 6:40 p.m. on Aug. 24 inside the dollar store located at 124-20 Jamaica Ave.

According to authorities, the perpetrator — described as a Hispanic male wearing a white hat, a blue Nike shirt with the slogan “Just Do It” on the front, blue jeans and white sneakers — walked into the shop and approached a 37-year-old woman.

Police said he then used his cellphone to look up her dress; surveillance footage taken inside the shop shows the man in a confrontation with someone after getting caught in the act. The perpetrator, nonetheless, fled the scene, and the incident was reported to the 102nd Precinct.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA), visit their website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
