Police are looking for a suspect who shot a man at the Ravenswood Houses in Astoria.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man clad in a construction vest and ski mask who shot someone at the Ravenswood Houses in Astoria last week.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred on Aug. 30 at about 8 p.m. when the suspect approached a 33-year-old man at 21-20 34th St. who had just gotten off a motorcycle. The suspect shouted, “Now I got you” and shot the victim in the left arm, police said.

He fled the scene and the victim was rushed to NY Cornell Hospital in stable condition, police said. Cops could not confirm if the suspect and victim know each other because the 33-year-old man denied having any relationship with his shooter.

The suspect is described as a black male about 30 years old and approximately 5 feet, 7 inches and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing gray slacks, a green construction vest, ski mask white sneakers and yellow hard hat.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish call 888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
