Police are searching for a driver who hit a 71-year-old in Jackson Heights and fled the scene.

Police are searching for a driver who hit a 71-year-old male in Jackson Heights and fled the scene.

According to the NYPD, the man was crossing the street at Northern Boulevard and 85th Street on Sept. 13 around 5 p.m. when a black sedan hit him. He then fled westbound on Northern Boulevard.

NBC New York reported that the driver hit a car belonging to Rosey Castillo before swerving into the victim. Castillo told NBC 4 that the victim was conscious but “bleeding a lot.”

He was transported to Elmhurst Hospital where they were treating him for head trauma.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
