Senior man tries to stop robbery at a restaurant on Ridgewood/Bushwick border

Cops are looking for a robber who stole cash from a eatery on the Ridgewood/Bushwick border on Monday morning, and thwarted one senior citizen’s efforts at stopping him, police said.

According to authorities, the robber — described as a dark-skinned male, wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, black sneakers, and carrying a back pack — entered Inca Chicken located at 122 Wyckoff Ave. in Brooklyn at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Sept. 18, where he removed $200 from the register.

However, a 78-year-old man attempted to stop the individual, law enforcement agents said, and a struggle ensued between the two. No injuries were reported when officers from the 83rd Precinct responded to the incident.

Video footage of the suspect has been released.
