Bayside will serve as the backdrop for a new television drama series starring Christopher Meloni of “Law and Order” fame.

TV series “Happy,” which is slated to premiere on SyFy on Dec. 8, will film in the vicinity of 35th Avenue between 204th and 202nd Streets beginning at 6 a.m. on Sept. 28.

The auditorium of the nearby Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Academy will be used as a staging area, and “No Parking” signage has been posted on location.

Crew for the show has also been spotted filming at Whitestone’s Francis Lewis Park this week.

Based on a graphic novel, of the same name, the series stars Meloni as Nick Sax, a corrupt ex-cop turned hit man. Comedian and actor Patton Oswalt is also in the cast as the voice of the title character, Happy the Horse.
