Thief breaks into Flushing home in broad daylight, makes off with $3,000: police

Cops are looking for a man who lifted money from a Flushing home on a Friday afternoon while wearing a baseball cap and surgical mask.

On Sept. 29 at around 1:30 p.m., an unidentified suspect broke into a residence in the vicinity of 57th Road and Lawrence Street and removed approximately $3,000 in cash, according to police. The suspect then fled the location to parts unknown.

The incident was reported to the 109th Precinct.

The perpetrator is described by authorities as a male with a light complexion, approximately 25-30, 5 foot 10 inches tall and 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, dark colored jeans, blue baseball cap, white surgical mask and black gloves.

In surveillance footage, the suspect is seen rummaging through a bedroom dresser in the home.
