Get spooky in Bayside with a free movie and pumpkin giveaway event tomorrow night.

“Hocus Pocus,” starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, will be projected onto an outdoor screen on Oct. 20 at Crocheron Park/John Golden Park for a special drive-in movie event. The screening will begin shortly after sunset, at around 6:30.

Attendees are asked to arrive early to secure a parking spot, or bring a blanket or lawn chair. The first 100 kids to attend will also receive a free pumpkin giveaway.

The movie follows three witches who, after three centuries, are resurrected in Salem, Masschusetts, on Halloween night and wreck havoc. Two teenagers, a girl and an immortal cat work against the trio in the exciting fantasy/comedy film. The movie is rated PG.

The event is sponsored by Councilman Paul Vallone and the NYC Parks Department.

The John Golden parking lot is located at 215th Place and 33rd Avenue. Questions about the event may be directed to the Park Department at 718-352-4793 or Vallone’s office at 718-619-8611.
