UPDATE: Cops arrest woman for swiping a Shih Tzu from the front yard of a North Corona home

Police have arrested a woman who stole a dog from the front yard of a North Corona home.

According to police, at 8:20 a.m. on Oct. 20, an unknown female walked into the fenced-in front yard of 97-04 37th Ave. Once inside, the suspect took a 2-year-old white Shih Tzu dog.

Once she had the dog in hand, the suspect fled east down 37th Avenue.

Following an investigation, on Oct. 25 at 6:25 p.m., police arrested Mariela Saquipulla, 18. She was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
