These streets will be closed down during the NYCRUNS Queens Half Marathon this Saturday

With more than 6,000 runners are expected to take part in this year’s NYRUNS Queens Half Marathon, many streets in the Flushing Meadows Corona Park are will be closed to the public.

The race will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 7 a.m. to noon. Runners will start from Flushing Meadows Park, do a loop around the famed Queens Botanical Garden and through the neighborhoods bordering Kissena Park. They’ll run past the historic cemeteries of Queens, down Main Street in downtown Flushing, visit the Bay via the Marina, and swing by Citi Field before heading back into the park to tour the World’s Fair grounds.

The following streets will be closed starting at 6:45 a.m.:

  • Meridian Road between Avenue of Research and Shea Road (will be closing at 4 a.m.)
  • College Point between Boulevard Meridian Road and Blossom Avenue
  • Booth Memorial Avenue between College Point Boulevard and Fresh Meadow Lane
  • 138th Street between Booth Memorial Avenue and 56th Avenue
  • 56th Avenue between 138th Street and 142nd Street
  • Fresh Meadow Lane between Booth Memorial Avenue and Pigeon Meadow Road
  • Pigeon Meadow Road between Fresh Meadow Lane and 164th Street
  • 164th Street between Pigeon Meadow Road and Oak Avenue
  • Oak Avenue between 164th street and Rose Avenue
  • Rose Avenue between Oak Avenue and Kissena Boulevard
  • Kissena Boulevard between Rose Avenue and Elder Avenue
  • Elder Avenue between Kissena Boulevard and Dahlia Avenue
  • Dahlia Avenue between Elder Avenue and Crommelin Avenue
  • Crommelin Avenue Dahlia Avenue and Blossom Avenue
  • Blossom Avenue Crommelin Avenue and Fowler Avenue
  • Fowler Avenue College Point Boulevard and 131st Street
  • 131st Street Fowler Avenue and East Road
  • East Road 131st Street and Meridian Road

The race will have an impact on parking in the surrounding area.
