An 18-year-old man died after being involved in a two-car crash at an Ozone Park intersection on Saturday night, police said.

According to authorities, Xylique Lovelace-Loney, 18, of 182nd Street in Springfield Gardens was driving a four-door sedan eastbound on Sutter Avenue at 10:05 p.m. on Nov. 18 when it collided with a second vehicle, driven by a 21-year-old man, at 80th Street.

Law enforcement sources said the impact caused Lovelace-Loney’s sedan to then strike two unoccupied parked cars at the intersection.

Officers from the 106th Precinct and EMS units rushed to the scene. Lovelace-Loney, who suffered severe body trauma, was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 21-year-old male driver refused medical attention for his minor injuries.

The NYPD Highway Collision Investigation Squad is still investigating the crash.

Editor’s note: An earlier version previously misidentified the victim as a woman. We regret the error and any confusion which may have resulted.
