Armed teenage bandit on the run after two recent Flushing robbery attempts: cops

Cops released on Wednesday video of a gun-slinging teenager responsible for two recent robbery attempts in Flushing.

Law enforcement sources said the first incident occurred at 9:50 a.m. on Oct. 31 at the corner of 150th Street and Melbourne Avenue, across the way from Queens College. The crook approached a 39-year-old man, displayed a handgun and demanded cash.

When the victim refused to comply with the demands, authorities said, the bandit ran from the scene eastbound on Melbourne Avenue.

The youngster struck again at 9:50 a.m. on Nov. 12 in front of a home on the westbound Horace Harding Expressway near 150th Street. According to police, he approached a 24-year-old man, grabbed an iPhone 7 Plus from his hand and ran eastbound on Horace Harding Expressway.

Police said the victim briefly pursued the suspect, but stopped when the bandit pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. After the victim refused, the perpetrator headed northbound on 150th Street.

The NYPD described the suspect as a black male between 13 and 15 years old. He can be seen in this video footage taken following the second robbery.
