Cops are investigating a deadly one-car crash in Flushing last weekend that claimed the life of a 73-year-old driver.

On Friday, Nov. 24 at 6:28 p.m., officers from the 111th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Francis Lewis Boulevard and 39th Avenue in the Auburndale section of Flushing.

Upon their arrival, the officers found Raymond Connor, 73, of 166th Street in the Murray Hill section of Flushing unconscious and unresponsive inside of a black minivan.

A preliminary investigation found that Connor had been driving southbound on Francis Lewis Boulevard at the intersection of 39th Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a metal support beam of the Long Island Rail Road overpass.

EMS responded to the scene and transported Connor to Flushing Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
