Do you have a vision for how to upgrade one of the borough’s most beloved parks?

Enjoy free food from local vendors while being an active part of the future of Flushing Meadows Corona Park during a “Holiday Open House” on Dec. 17. Hosted by the Community Advisory Board for Flushing Meadows Corona Park (CAB), the event gives residents a forum to share what matters to them and what may need improving at the public space.

Open discussions touching upon topics including beautification, public art and programming, maintenance, sustainability, waste reduction, recycling and habitat conservation will also take place at the event.

Free food, beer and wine courtesy of local vendors will be provided to attendees. SingleCut Beersmiths of Astoria will provide brews and Manhattan’s Vine Collective will provide the vino. Elmhurst’s Panda Cafe, Whitestone’s Tropical Revival and Dawa’s of Woodside are among the food vendors slated to offer free bites to eat.

The event will run from 2 to 5 p.m. at the New York Hall of Science’s Viscusi Gallery. RSVP is required to attend. Register by clicking here.

“The open house is an opportunity for us to get to know park users and for them to get to know us, so the park and the CAB can better serve the communities that use and cherish this park,” said John Wang, chair of CAB and founder of the Queens Night Market.

The New York Hall of Science is located at 47-01 111th St. Learn more about CAB by visiting its website.
