Victoria’s Secrets: A week of celebrations

What a way to end the year!

One day after celebrating Catholic school education at the Futures in Education concert at Lincoln Center, I got to enjoy dinner at former Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s gracious, art-filled home.

If that wasn’t enough, I also got to enjoy cocktails at Gracie Mansion with current Mayor Bill de Blasio at his annual media holiday gathering. Then I headed out east to Long Island for an event in support of the  incoming Nassau County Executive Laura Curran!

Whew! The whirlwind holiday week was full of what I love about being in the news business: meeting fascinating people.

Then, during the holiday weekend, I got to experience a wonderful movie: “The Greatest Showman,” the story about P.T. Barnum. It’s Hugh Jackman at his best, with amazing music, costumes, dancing and plenty of circus history.

With my grandchildren, I also saw “Coco,” a movie with a message: “Our love for each other will live on forever.” Don’t miss it; even if you don’t have kids, it’s genius!

These movies are certainly not to be missed!

Here are some photos from the week. I wish all of you a Happy New Year!
