Gunshots brought a painful end to a birthday party for a man at an Ozone Park bowling alley early on Sunday morning.

Police sources said the 22-year-old man was having a good time at the Bowl 360 located at 98-18 Rockaway Blvd. at about 12:28 a.m. on March 25 when he heard gunfire ring out.

Seconds later, according to authorities, the victim felt pain in his right hip and discovered that he had been shot there.

Officers from the 106th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. Paramedics brought the man to Jamaica Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police canvassed the surrounding area for suspects, but no immediate arrests were made, sources said.

The investigation is ongoing.
