Suspect wanted for punching a man on the N train in Long Island City

Police are looking for a man who punched someone in the face while boarding a train in Long Island City.

According to police, at 7:30 p.m. on April 29, the 21-year-old male victim was getting on an N train at the Queensboro Plaza subway station when he was shoved by an unknown individual that was also boarding the train.

When the victim confronted the suspect about the shove, authorities said, the perpetrator punched the victim in the face. The assailant then stepped off of the train and challenged the victim to a fight.

Law enforcement sources said the victim remained on the N train as the doors closed. The suspect was seen on the platform as the train left the station.

Police described the suspect as a black man in his 40s with a mustache and standing 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, a red hooded sweater, a black vest and dark-colored jeans.
