A casino customer playing the slots at Resorts World last week lost a load of cash, but not from gambling, according to police.

A 54-year-old man was at a slot machine inside the South Ozone Park casino at 110-00 Rockaway Blvd. about 11:30 p.m. on July 2 when he was approached by the suspect, authorities said.

The suspect — described as a light-skinned male, 20 to 25 years old with a thin build — then took about $2,000 in cash from the man’s hand as he was playing the machine.

Police released video footage of the perpetrator showing him swiping the money and fleeing the scene.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit their website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
