Jamaica Bay: Not Just For The Birds

BY SUBWAY: The A train stops right in Broad Channel. To get to the refuge, walk west to Cross Bay Blvd., then make a right and continue a half mile. The visitors center is on your left.
BY BUS: The Q53 express bus from Roosevelt Ave., Jackson Heights; the Q21 from Woodhaven and Queens Blvds., or Liberty Ave. and Cross Bay Blvd.; and the Q21A from the New Lots Ave. subway station all stop in Broad Channel. Walk a half mile back along Cross Bay Blvd. to the refuge visitors center.
