No. 7 subway shut down 2 hours by bomb threat

By Brian Lockhart

Commuters who attempted to ride the No. 7 subway out of Flushing Sunday evening found their plans thwarted by a bomb search that shut down the station beneath Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue for more than two hours.

Marilyn Bitterman, district manager of Community Board 7, said police told her no bombs were found after they had received a threat over the phone.
