Aaron Copeland School of Music at Queens College

Brooklyn Conservatory of Music at Queens

Offers concerts on a regular basis as well as an educational music center. It is handicapped-accessible and there is bus parking. The conservatory is open year-round, Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Children's Orchestra Society

The Children's Orchestra Society presents a variety of performances throughout New York City. The society is open year-round; call for a performance schedule.

Colden Center for the Performing Arts

One of the major cultural institutions in Queens for more than 35 years, Colden Center for the Performing Arts houses Colden Auditorium, LeFrak Concert Hall and Goldstein Theatre. Although on the Queens College campus, Colden Center is a self-supporting institution that brings classical, pop and jazz concerts as well as family and children's performances to more than 300,000 people each year. Free parking available for most events. Classical and jazz concert tickets range from $20 to $25; $8 for children and family performances. Season subscriptions also available at a discounted price.

Flushing Town Hall

Town Hall is home to a variety of cultural events sponsored by the Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts. A New York City national landmark building, Town Hall has two exhibition galleries, a visitors' center and a jazz cafe. Free parking behind the building for all events. Ticket prices range from $15 to $25.

Queensborough Orchestra

Performs symphony concerts on campus from September through May. The auditorium is handicap accessible with bus parking available. Call for performance schedule and ticket prices.

Queens College Choral Society

The choral society is comprised of a 100-voice college community chorus that performs many different choral masterpieces. The society is open year-round. Call for schedule information.

Queens Council on the Arts

This boroughwide council provides cultural event information as well as free outdoor summer concerts, festivals and craft fairs.

Queens Symphony Orchestra

The orchestra, which presents a series of concerts throughout the borough, offers free concerts for young people, an in-school music education program, the Young Soloist Competition, the Youth Gospel Choir and free open rehearsals. The orchestra is in season from September to May and reaches nearly 50,000 people annually.
