Meeks slow to file election reports: FEC

Meeks For Congress has received six notifications that it had failed to file financial records on a timely basis since Meeks was first elected to the House of Representatives in February 1998, according to the campaign finance filings.

Two weeks ago the Times-Ledger reported Meeks had not filed campaign finance information for the pre-primary period from July 1 through Aug. 23 and the FEC said there was a possibility it would impose a penalty on Meeks
