JAMAICA — A man was found shot once in the leg at 109-02 Sutphin Blvd. at about 7:20 a.m. Saturday, police said.
He was taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital in stable condition, police said.
Police were investigating.
Man, 21, in stable condition after Rosedale club shooting
ROSEDALE — A 21-year-old man was in stable condition after being shot in a dispute at a nightclub Saturday, police said.
The victim was shot in the head at about 1:40 a.m. in a dispute with another man outside the club at 233 Merrick Blvd. police said.
He was taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, Detective Edward Reuss said.
Police were investigating.
20-year-old man shot on S. Jamaica corner
SOUTH JAMAICA — A 20-year-old man was shot on the corner of Merrick Boulevard and 127th Avenue at about 5 p.m. Monday, police said.
He was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Police were investigating.
23-year-old driver killed in Van Wyck accident
SOUTH OZONE PARK — A man was killed shortly after midnight Friday when his car struck a construction crane along the Van Wyck Expressway, police said.
Police gave this account: Wayne Headeley, 23, was traveling north on the Van Wyck at Linden Boulevard in a 1994 Toyota Camry when he approached a construction site where traffic merged into one lane. Prevented from merging by another car already in the lane, Headeley tried to stop but struck a large construction crane, and was then rear-ended by a third vehicle.
Headeley was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:35 a.m.
All other drivers and passengers were taken to Jamaica Hospital for observation.
2 charged in assault of Indian man at E train stop
LONG ISLAND CITY — Two people were arrested after allegedly harassing and punching an Indian man last Thursday night at the subway platform of the E train at 23rd Street and Ely Avenue, police said.
Shanickqa Foggi, 23, and Adrian Gordon, 22, were charged with aggravated harassment, assault and menacing.
Police were investigating the incident as a possible bias attack.
Epithets scratched on car parked on Roosevelt Ave.
WOODSIDE — A car was discovered early Sunday morning with the passenger window broken and biased statements scratched on the passenger door, police said.
Officers responded at about 6:20 a.m. to reports of criminal mischief at 62-08 Roosevelt Ave.
Police did not disclose the nature of the scrawled statements.
Teen killed in car crash at Linden Blvd. corner
SOUTH JAMAICA — A 19-year-old man was killed Monday morning when his car collided with another vehicle at the corner of Linden Boulevard and 177th Street, police said.
Raheem Bowman, of 215-06 110th Ave., was traveling east on Linden Boulevard when his car apparently crossed over the double yellow lines into the westbound lane, striking another car at about 6:30 a.m. Monday, police said.
He was taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital, where he died at 7:20 a.m., police said.
Woman tells of being raped on 32nd Ave. in early morning
EAST ELMHURST — A woman went to St. John’s Hospital at 3:30 a.m. Monday to report she had been raped five hours earlier, police said.
She told authorities she was assaulted at 32nd Avenue and 90th Street by a Hispanic man, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, wearing a red and black jacket and armed with a knife.
Police were investigating.
