Venezia Tile floors Statewide Merchandising, 10-4

Major Division

Venezia Tile 10 Statewide Merchandising 4. Venezia Tile pulled the rug from Statewide Merchandising, taking an early 3-0 lead in the first period. Derek LaMacchia led the way with seven goals and two assists. Sean Monsees, J. Dujmovic and Matt Brady contributed goals for Venezia Tile. For Statewide, Tommy Monte buried the biscuit twice and Stephen McGrory and Patrick Grabulewski each scored a goal.

Minor Division

Jesse Halpern 12, Mass Electric 2. For Jesse Halpern, Nico Natsiolaris led all scorers bulging the twine three times for his first ever hat trick and Gregory Cassimos also filled the net three times for the hat trick, Travis Lippert scored two goals. Ralph Schrader and Alex Palazzolo also scored. Dimitrios Savva had three assists and Nick Veljacich added two assists.

Jesse Halpern 6, Nancy & David Legaz ReMax Universal 2. In a hard battle, Jesse Halpern outskated the Legaz team, 6-2, handing them their first lost of the season. For Jesse Halpern, Jason Becker played a great game, scoring two goals, Eric Wong and Tam Ngo each scored a goal and Quan Ngo made two beautiful passes for two assists. Alex Palazzolo and Nico Natsiolaris played great defense stopping the high scoring Legaz Team.

Erin’s Isle 6 Mass Electric 3. Paolo Chionti scored his first goal of the season and Thomas Doheny scored twice for Mass Electric, but it wasn't enough, as Mass Electric lost to Erin's Isle, 6-3. Erin’s offense was provided by Evan Kundrat with five goals and Meaghan Callahan with a goal.

Mass Electric 7, Nancy & David Legaz Remax Universal 5. Mass Electric earned its first win of the season, 7-5, over Remax Universal.. Thomas Doheny scored five goals, Brian Schade had two assists and Jordan Chateau was superb in goal for Mass Electric.

Erin's Isle 7, Jesse Halpern 6. In a tightly played game, Erin's Isle came away the victor 7-6. Travis Lippert scored three times for the hat trick. Tam Ngo, Nico Natsiolaris, and Albert Markopolous each scored once. Jason Becker played a terrific game in between the posts. Nick Veljacich skated hard both ways improving his play both ways.

Senior Division

Gary Mann Productions 7, Corona Park Pork Store 6. Gary Mann Productions came outrocking and jumped on top of Corona Park to the tune of 5-2 at the end of one period. The duet of Anthony Mainolfi and Kenny McCrorie knocked in three and two goals, respectively, with assists coming from Phil McGrory, Adam Akpinar and David Cho, but Corona Park answered back on goals from Jimmy Brady and Sal Pinto assisted by Danny Cochran.

Corona Park was just warming up and in the second came out sizzling with two scores from Michael Bova, assisted by Jimmy Brady, Kevin Gugliemoni and Cory McGrath, but Adam Akpinar answered ,hitting the back of the net on a beautiful feed from Anthony Mainolfi to put Gary Mann on top by a score of 6-4 at the end two periods.

Corona Park was still cooking in the third, as Cory McGrath smoked Gary Mann for two scores, both assisted by Jimmy Brady, but for an encore Anthony Mainolfi belted in one more goal for his fourth of the game, with a little help from his friend Guy Semeniero, to put Gary Mann on top with hard fought 7-6 victory.

Making their debuts in the nets were Marc Kleva for Gary Mann and Mike Giacomino for Corona Park, and the combination of excellent goaltending and fine defensive play of William Simonetti, Paul Giantiempo, Elias Natsiolaris and Sarah Cooley, led to a highly contested and outstanding game played by both teams that kept coaches and fans alike on edge until the final buzzer.

Corona Park Pork Store 8, Transcreen 2. Corona Park took an early 3-0 lead on its way to its first win of the season. Jimmy Brady scored four goals for Corona. Joe Burke, Cory McGrath and Kevin Gugliemoni found the net for Corona. Transcreen’s goals came off the sticks of Diego Rosa and Matt Novak.
