Alley Pond Environmental Center 228-06 Northern Blvd. Douglaston, presents FROM TRASH TO TREASURE on Sat., Jan. 12 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Join local artist, Chris Schiavo for a unique and creative lesson in recycling. This program offers young artists and environmentalists the opportunity to help out by cleaning Alley Pond's trails and building something useful out of the trash they have collected. The Association for Neurologically Impaired Brain Injured Children, Inc. After School Program, 212-12 26 Ave., Bayside,provides an opportunity for socialization and recreation for adolescents/teenagers between the ages of 12-18 with learning disabilities and/or developmental disabilities residing in Queens. The Glen Oaks Volunteer Ambulance Corps is looking for members to serve as dispatchers and ambulance crew personnel. The ambulance corps needs members who are available to serve between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the week. 718-347-1637.
