FLUSHING — Police are searching for Brendan McNelis, who lives in the 109th Precinct.
McNelis, who is listed as a missing person, was last seen March 2 at 2 a.m., police said.
McNelis, 20, is 5-foot-10, 145 pounds with a light complexion, brown hair, blue eyes and a tattoo on his shoulder, police said.

Flushing man arrested on forgery charge
MANHATTAN — A Flushing man was arrested March 19 on charges of producing illegal driver’s licenses in a copy shop in the West Village, police said.
Alex Yaguteave of 67-20 157th St., Flushing, was one of four people arrested on charges of forgery, police said,
At University Place Photo at 101 University Place, the four allegedly produced both state and international driver’s licenses, police said.
Also arrested were Sergusi Matvienko of Brooklyn, Aaron Morales of the Bronx, and Diana Lopez of Brooklyn on charges of forgery, police said.
Police seek ties between employees, robbery in Bellerose
BELLEROSE — Police said they were investigating whether an employee helped commit an early-morning robbery at A.M.F. Bellerose Lanes Saturday, police said.
A 38-year-old female employee was closing up the bowling alley at 251-21 Jamaica Ave. at about 4 a.m. when a man pointed a gun in her face and took $10,053.14 from the safe, police said.
Jason Shakoor, 19, of 93-37 207th St., Queens Village, along with Alan Moreno, 20, and Joseph Chevez, 20, both of Hempstead, was arrested on charges of robbery, authorities said.
Police did not say whether any of the three men were employees at the bowling alley.
College Point death called ‘not suspicious’
COLLEGE POINT — A dead man was found on College Point Boulevard early Wednesday morning, police said.
The 44-year-old was discovered between 20th and 21st avenues by a resident who phoned police, Community Affairs Officer Frank Devereaux of the 109th Precinct said.
The death was called “not suspicious,” said Devereaux.
Mentally ill Rockaway man missing since Tuesday afternoon
ROCKAWAY PARK — John Matagrano, who lives in the confines of the 100th Precinct, has been reported missing by police.
Matagrano was last seen at 1 p.m. Tuesday at 140 Beach 119th Street wearing a dark coat, light shirt, dark pants and slippers, police said. He is a 6-foot white male, 62, 160 pounds with white hair, and is in poor mental health, police said.
Anyone with information of his whereabouts should call police at 318-4221.
Police investigating rape of Hollis teenager
HOLLIS — A 13-year-old girl was raped and sodomized by an 18-year-old man in a van parked off Farmers Boulevard Saturday, police said.
The sun had just set when the man engaged the girl in conversation at 6:30 p.m., police said. The perpetrator then pulled out a knife on the girl and raped and sodomized her in a nearby van, the authorities said.
Police reported no arrests and were investigating.
Man charged with lewdness in Queens Village
QUEENS VILLAGE — A Brooklyn man was arrested last Thursday after he made vulgar statements to various girls while sitting naked in his car, police said.
George Boos, 53, allegedly drove up to girls aged 9 to 17 in three separate incidents on March 20, police said.
Boos has been charged with four counts of public lewdness by the Queens district attorney, police said.
Girl, 8, reports sexual abuse
ROSEDALE — An 8-year-old girl was sexually abused in broad daylight on March 20, police said.
The girl told police she was sexually abused by a man in his 20s at the corner of 259th Street and 148th Avenue, police said. The man then fled the scene, the authorities said.
Police reported no arrests and were investigating.
Man found dead early Tuesday
LAURELTON — A dead man who had been shot in the head was found early Tuesday morning, police said.
The man was discovered at 5:13 a.m. at the corner of 225th Street and Prospect Court, police said.
Police reported no arrests and were investigating.
Armed robbers hit Kew Gardens restaurant
KEW GARDENS — Four men robbed patrons at the Coconuts Restaurant at gunpoint early Friday morning, police said.
Shortly after 2 a.m., police responded to the restaurant, located at 120-29 83rd Ave. The owner told police that four men had declared a stickup and told the bartender, owner, and six patrons to lie on the floor, police said.
The men, each brandishing a gun, removed property from all six patrons and took about $200 from the register, police said.
The owner said one of the men struck him in the head with the butt of his gun and fired a shot which hit the bottom of the bar, police said. Police reported no arrests and were investigating.
South Ozone Park man charged in 1999 murder
BROOKLYN — A South Ozone Park man was arrested on charges of murder in the 1999 killing of a Brooklyn man, police said.
On Oct. 2, 1999, Frank Coleman, 23, of 1040 Park Place, Brooklyn was found shot in the back and later died in the hospital, police said.
After an investigation by members of Jamaica’s 113th Precinct, police announced the arrest of Gregory Knight, 29, of 111-10 130th Ave. last Thursday.
Girl, 11, reports sex abuse by boy, 11
JACKSON HEIGHTS — An 11-year-old boy sexually abused an 11-year-old girl in front of IS 145 last Thursday, police said.
The incident occurred at 10:25 a.m. at 33-34 80th St., police said.
The boy was arrested and later released into the custody of his parents, police said.
2 arrested for subway platform threats
FOREST HILLS — Two men were arrested last week for threatening a woman and a girl with a pair of scissors on a subway platform, police said.
On the southbound platform of the Continental Avenue stop of the E train, Benjamin Pena, 47, of 84-27 60th Ave., Middle Village, and Daniel Lopez, 45, of Brooklyn, allegedly menaced a 12-year-old girl and a 32-year-old woman, police said.
The men made ethnic remarks to the woman and girl, and it was being investigated as a possible bias incident, police said.
No one was injured.
Fake police sought in Richmond Hill robbery
RICHMOND HILL — Two men were robbed of $3,000 in cash Tuesday by three men in their 20s who pretended to be police officers, police said.
The two residents of 87-14 129 St. contacted police at 5:51 a.m. They were stopped in front of their apartment by three men driving a red Ford Expedition, police said. The passengers, wearing NYPD hats, told the men they were officers and ordered a search of their apartment, police said.
Once inside, the fake officers handcuffed the two men, took $3,000 in cash and fled the scene, police said.
Police reported no arrests and were investigating.
Ridgewood teenager stabbed in leg, torso
RIDGEWOOD — A 14-year-old was stabbed in his leg and abdomen by a man in his 40s Sunday night, police said.
A dispute occurred in front of 16-93 Putnam Ave. at about 9:30 p.m., police said. The teenager was taken to Elmhurst Medical Center in stable condition, the authorities said.
Police reported no arrests and were investigating.
Jamaica Avenue bank robbed Saturday
WOODHAVEN — A man robbed the Queens County Savings Bank at 80-35 Jamaica Ave. Saturday by passing a note to one of the tellers, police said.
The man fled the bank with an undetermined amount of money around 2 p.m., police said.
Police reported no arrests and were investigating.
High winds knock out power in parts of Queens last week
ASTORIA — Strong winds last Thursday night knocked down a pole in an Astoria yard, cutting power to Flushing Meadows Corona Park, a Con Edison official said.
The short blackout occurred at about 8:45 p.m., said Estelle Cooper, the Parks Department manager of the park. Within five minutes, the power was back on, Cooper said.
The winds also temporarily knocked out power throughout Queens, said Chris Olert, spokesman for Con Edison.
Olert added that all but 12 customers in Brooklyn and Queens had their power restored almost immediately.
