Remembering Rosa Parks

Last week, Borough President Helen Marshall, Councilman John Liu and other community leaders held a commemoration of Rosa Parks Day.
The events, which began at Flushing Town Hall, included a Freedom March, a re-enactment of the segregationist policy on public buses, and a re-enactment of Rosa Parks' historic act of civil disobedience on December 1, 1955.
