Councilwoman counsels teens

Councilwoman Melinda Katz (right) visited the Jewish Child Care Association’s Buhkarian teen lounge recently, where she discussed the political process, her experiences in the City Council and the importance of community involvement. “I truly enjoy speaking with the young people of our community,” said Katz. “They are filled with boundless energy and unlimited potential. I hope that I was able to motivate those in attendance to become interested in government and get involved in their community. In speaking with the teens, I am confident that NYC will have great future leaders and productive citizens.” Katz gave special thanks to Luba Roytburd, Director of the Teen Lounge for her dedication and hard work. She also thanked the Jewish Child Care Association for their commitment to assist those in our community in need of help.
