The real estate company that bought two rundown apartment complexes off Pelham Parkway in December is not just committed to an extensive upgrade at those buildings, but is also hoping to buy and renovate hundreds of other apartments in the area, a partner in the company said last week.
In fact, the Manhattan-based Dermot Company, which owns mostly high-end property in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn, is just weeks away from closing a deal on three poorly maintained apartment buildings on Barnes Avenue between Lydig Avenue and Pelham Parkway, said the partner, Andrew MacArthur.
