PSAL Class B 1st Round
Top-seeded Flushing crushed No. 32 Baruch College, 71-39, behind 20 points from Andrea Buckham. The Red Devils will face No. 16 Gompers this week.
Crystal Sessoms pumped in 20 points as fifth-seeded Long Island City beat No. 28 Irving, 55-25. LIC will host No. 12 Fort Hamilton next. Helin Marte scored 32 points, leading No. 7 Richmond Hill past No. 26 South Bronx, 63-48. The Lions will take on No. 10 Jefferson this week.
Avery Sibbley scored 22 points, leading sixth-seeded Martin Van Buren past No. 27 HS for Economics & Finance, 81-51. The Vee Bees host No. 11 William Bryant, 52-31 winners over No. 22 FDR, this week. Also, No. 3 Newtown edged No. 30 Martin Luther King, 39-29.
