Karen Perretta is the newest addition to Christ the King Regional High School as she recently started working as an executive assistant in the school’s Alumni Department.
Perretta replaced Tanya Bettes, who relocated to Washington State after spending six years at Christ the King.
Perretta comes to Christ the King after spending time as a substitute teacher at a school in Ozone Park. Perretta started working at Christ the King at the end of March, and since then she has helped plan two major alumni events including a reunion and a Hall of Fame dinner last month.
“They were both very nice, and had large turnouts,” she said. “Everyone was great, and they warmly welcomed me so I enjoyed it very much.”
Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Christ the King, Senator Serphin Maltese, as well as the entire board, administration and staff are excited to have Perretta at the school and look forward to working with her in the upcoming academic year. They believe that she will be an asset to the school as well as working with its alumni.
“It’s been a lot of work so far, but it’s been interesting, and I have met a lot of nice and friendly people,” Perretta said.
